We are excited to welcome Nido Early School Swan View, where every day is an adventure for both children and staff. Meet Casey and Kym, the dynamic duo who make this place so special.
What’s going to be really popular right now? At Nido Early School Swan View, the children will love the outdoor area. From exploring the nature landscapes to playing with the car and water misters, there's always something exciting happening.
What’s your favourite thing in the early school at the moment? Casey is passionate about the art atelier workshops, a space dedicated to immersive creative experiences. Kym, on the other hand, loves the cosy nook in the toddler room, perfect for quiet reading or chilling and the inviting snuggly cushions.
What’s the best part of your job? For Casey, the best part is watching the children grow and create their own journey. She cherishes the full circle moments and the social elements that embrace multiple cultural perspectives through shared experiences. Kym loves connecting with other working families, understanding their childcare needs and seeing the happiness in the children's faces.
Casey has been in the industry for 26 years and aligns with the personal philosophy of Nido Swan View. Kym, with two young children, understands the childcare needs and enjoys connecting with other working families.
Name two things you like most about working at the Nido Early School? Both Casey and Kym love the festive atmosphere during Christmas and other celebrations. They also enjoy the end of year celebrations, which highlight the achievements and learning of the children.
What trends or changes in the industry are you most excited about? At Nido Swan View, everything is purpose-built with thoughtful designs. The curriculum is centred around the child’s learning goals and interests, following the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Meals are progressive, allowing children to eat when they hungry and play is an invitation, giving them the choice.
Can you tell us a little about what inspired you to join the Nido Early School team? Casey and Kym are passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Their personal experiences and philosophies align perfectly with Nido Early School’s.
What are your interests in life? Any hobbies, interests or mad obsessions? Casey loves visiting Melbourne for its culture and football, making several trips a year. Kym enjoys exploring new activities with her children, with the Gold Coast being a favourite destination. She also has fond memories of Denmark camping.
What is the first thing you do when you come into work every day? Casey and Kym start their day by greeting the Children and educators then turning on their laptops, and a candle warmer to create an inviting atmosphere on a wintery day. They conduct safety checks and walk through the environment, setting it up for the day.
